About Me

Theodore Rosenblum has known he was going to be a filmmaker since he was four years old. As a high schooler, he spent four years making his first feature film, a documentary about sustainable farming called The Fields, named Best US Documentary at the L’Age D’Or International Arthouse Film Festival in Kolkata, India. His second feature, the psychological horror noir Player Piano, premiered in an abbreviated cut at the 2022 Centre Film Festival, with the queer comedy short Wasted Potential, co-directed and co-written with star Julia Salvato, playing at the festival’s following edition in 2023. He has also contributed animation and voice acting to the popular underground filmmaking project Shrek 2 Retold, alongside such talent as Justin Long, Gilbert Gottfried, Tara Strong, Chris Hansen, the McElroy Brothers, and Joe Pera. His upcoming projects include as a director on the web series Fat Single Queers Seeking Literally Anyone Please and on HAZEL’s music video “Little Mouse,” and as a producer and writer on the film Close That Box.

He was the star and executive producer of Wyatt Bumbarger’s horror feature A Deer in the Woods, whose festival run is forthcoming. He is also a prolific writer for the internationally popular horror fiction website The SCP Foundation, the inspiration for the hit video game Control. His writings there have been translated into nine languages, and have garnered tens of millions of views from being featured in TikTok and YouTube content. He is an alumnus of Penn State University and the Maine Media Workshops.
